About the Role
The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing Fire Fighting and Utility Piping systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects. The role involves preparing technical drawings and design documents, developing system concepts, selecting equipment, and ensuring designs comply with applicable fire protection standards. The position also involves coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams to understand design requirements, resolve technical challenges, and ensure the final drawings and documentation accurately reflect the project’s design intent.
Requirements
- BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Piping Engineering Good knowledge of AutoCAD and technical drawing preparation Experience with MTO and design specification sheets Knowledge of NBC, IS, NFPA and FM standards Understanding of Fire Fighting & Utility Piping systems Knowledge of systems such as Fire Hydrant, Sprinkler, Water Spray, Deluge, Foam and Gas Suppression Understanding of Fire Pump Room design and pump selection Proficiency in MS Office and ability to coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams
